Recording Process

The V71 sound library was originally recorded and mixed at 32-bit / 192 kHz resolution in pro studios around the globe, with intensive sessions manned by leading engineers who know how to capture incredible drum sounds. A large part of the collection was recorded in direct collaboration with DW in Oxnard, California, ensuring a seamless experience between the hardware module and the DW Soundworks software instrument.

While previous V-Drums modules offer deep editing capabilities, the onboard sound libraries are fixed and can’t be expanded. The V71 module changes all that, letting you freely change up the sound set for the first time.

14" Digital Snare

The PD-14DSX takes Roland digital snare technology to a new level of acoustic realism and playing comfort. The softest articulations are translated in astonishing detail, and hand position is automatically detected for seamless transitions between headshots, rimshots, and cross-stick playing.

A throw-off mechanism turns the snares on or off with the flip of a lever, while a knurled strainer knob lets you dial in snare tension with a twist. The knob also doubles as a push control for easy operation of different module functions.

The flagship VAD716 kit includes one 10" PDA100 and one 12" PDA120 Acoustic Design tom pad. Roland DTS-30S Drum Stand Hardware and Cable Set

Developed for the flagship Roland VAD706 e-drum kit, but compatible with other V-Drums kits and components, the DTS-30S is a hardware stand and cable set ideal as spares or for expansion. Featuring two DCS-30 cymbal/tom combo stands, one DBS-30 boom cymbal stand, and one PDS-20 module stand, this set provides a versatile mounting solution for electronic drum hardware.

All included stands feature double-braced tripod legs, large-diameter tubes, and chrome plating for durability and strength. Rubber feet provide stability and prevent stands from skidding. The DTS-30S includes 11 1/4" TRS trigger cables and four cable ties.

Flexible Boom Mounts for Cymbal Pads
