Shutter Counter doesn't work

After installing my first roll of film and taking a few exposures I realized the shutter count was not advancing. I watched a tutorial on how to fix it, took it apart, and realized it's just defective. I've been entirely too much time fiddling with this camera, and it's honestly not even worth it to return having to pay for shipping, etc. Although it's not totally surprising when it's a cheap plastic camera (I adore my Holga's, kodak half frames, etc and wanted to try out Lomography for the first time), but I'm still disappointed.
