Sirui SV-F Reviews
These feet will fit Sachtler Ace or 75mm Tripod legs!
TLDR; These feet will fit a Sachtler Ace or 75mm bowl tripod with the spiked feet. I've never found another set of feet that will fit Sachtler tripods, and the replacement feet from Sachtler cost $158, which is a ridiculous price for what they are. I've never owned a Sirui tripod. When I bought my first Sachtler, I vowed never to go back to cheap tripods and fluid heads. A simple pan or tilt on a tripod can be just as effective as a cinematic tool as a gimbal or dolly movement. I used to own a Sachtler FSB-6 and 10. They were great heads but when I had to rebuild from nothing, I couldn't afford that level of tripod even used, and I also wanted something lightweight and easy to move around. So I bought the Sachtler Ace L Freddie Wong edition. It was worth every penny of the $800 price tag. Recently, I bought an Ace XL with Carbon Fiber legs used for $425. It has those round feet that I'm used to and that I like. I've been looking in to what it would take to convert my L Freddie Wong to have the same feet. When I saw these feet here on B&H, I could tell their design was the closest thing I had ever seen to the Sachtler feet. They have the concave "roller" that tucks between the dual spikes, and they have a short wide rubber strap where most other brands have a longer space between the roller and the rubber strap. I decided it was worth it to gamble with the $27 since I could likely sell them if they didn't fit. But they do fit, and they work very well. They pivot on the legs like they're supposed to, and you can place them with the longer end facing out or facing in, it's really up to you. The rubber strap holds tight enough to keep the feet in position when you pick up the whole tripod. These would be great if you have a Sachtler foot that's gotten lost or damaged. These would also be great to have if you're planning to do a shoot in a location where the original feet could get damaged or lost easily. For example, if you're shooting with the feet planted in a river somewhere, or if you're shooting in the hot sun on asphalt and you don't want the rubber bottoms to start melting. $27 is cheap, and you get all three feet for that price. Since this is the ONLY review of these feet, I figured it was worth letting the world know that these are a cheap replacement for the Sachtler ones.
