A strap for the ages

I generally use a wrist strap, but if I'll be changing lenses in public I use a neck strap so I won't have to find a place to set the camera down while swapping lenses. This is the first cord strap I've used and I much prefer it to traditional straps. I don't like the excessive hardware on most straps and the way they always seem to get tangled. With the SmallRig strap I just pick it up and it's ready to go without untwisting the strap. I use a strap primarily for safety in case a camera pops out of my hands. I never carry a camera over my shoulder; if it's out of my bag I'm carrying it in one hand when not shooting. So this really isn't the best strap if you generally carry your camera over a shoulder. There are wider, more secure straps with anti-slip material that will do a better job. The small leather pad helps but is mainly for comfort. I'm six feet tall and find the length of the strap just right. The strap is also easy to remove if I want to use it on a different camera. So far I have two SmallRig braided straps and will probably buy at least one more.
