Boox Palma 2 Reviews
Fine Tablet
A fine tablet that dees what it says.
Compelling
I've tried several Boox products and never felt compelled to keep them. their UI felt clunky and the responsiveness sluggish. Frustrating to navigate, and too slow even at page turning to be useable. With so many good reviews of the Palma I decided to try again, and I think this device nails it. The UI is snappy and fast, the screen is gorgeous, and reading on it is a pleasure. the size is perfect, holds comfortably like a phone, but the screen is big and clear enough that it doesn't feel like reading on a phone. So glad to have an eink screen for services like Hoopla and bookshop.org. Camera is garbage and seems unnecessary. I don't buy this as an alternative to a smartphone, but it is a great little e-reader.
