Got this lens on a whim. It’s a surprisingly nice little, inexpensive, lens. Yup, it’s a manual lens, no big deal. I’m old so I have used manual lenses in the past. If you’re new to that kind of lens, you will get the hang of it.

Had another opportunity to explore further with this lens. The more I experiment with this the more I am looking forward to the potential this field holds. The extreme distortion can be turned into amazing beauty. We've had extreme weather here in NJ so my time has been limited. But the potential for amazing distortion has me excited. As regards the lens itself, no AE, No VR, and no AF.---- but the glass is terrific. I took a photo of some trees in the NJBG, still exploring different angles. Tough to focus. Later I was reviewing the photos. When I cropped in to extreme I noticed a branch was as sharp as I could wish for in any manufacturers' product. I am surprised and impressed. So now I may get interested in a complete 180 fisheye. And at these prices it is doable. As usual B&H will get the sale. Can't put a price on the advice one gets.

ND filter solution?

The 7Artisans 10mm f/2.8 Mark II Lens (Sony E) does not support traditional front-mounted ND filters. It doesn't have a rear-mount filter slot as well. You have to use a matte box and make sure it doesn't vignette.
