Add a shock-absorbing arm to your Hydra Alien Pro car mount for smooth motion shots with this Arm, Head & Speed Rail Mounting Kit from Tilta. The kit includes a shock-absorbing arm, shock-absorbing head, power supply baseplate, dual V-mount plate, counterweights, 50mm standard speed rail mounting clamp, swappable shock absorber kit, safety tether, a mount adapter for a DJI Ronin series gimbals, and power cables.
NOTE: Speed rails are not included in this kit.
Mounting
The arm is designed to mount and unmount a larger gimbal, such as a DJI Ronin 2, using Manfrotto dovetail plates, and there are multiple safety pins and knobs to keep your gear secure onto the 50mm speed rail. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads provide additional mounting points.
Load Capacity
The arm supports loads using different tension settings and a number of counterweights:
- Up to 28.7 lb with the heavy setting, with rigs such as DJI Ronin 2 with a cinema camera
- Up to 22 lb with medium setting, with rigs such as midsize gimbals like the MōVI Pro or DJI Ronin M with a compact cine camera
- Up to 15.4 lb with the light setting, with rigs such as the DJI RS series gimbals with a mirrorless camera or the Ronin 4D
Power and Control
The dual V-mount provides power to the arm via the 12-17V power input. There is also a power output to keep your gimbal powered. You can remotely control the shock-absorbing head's payload mode and damping from 0 to 100 with the separately available Nucleus Nano 2 from up to 328' away. Damping tension can be adjusted, and the USB-C port on the arm allows you to upgrade the firmware with future releases.
Shock-Absorbing Head
The shock-absorbing head features two types of shock absorbers that can be swapped out in sets of four on the individual posts of the head for heavier or lighter loads. It prevents shake and reduces high-frequency vibration. A Manfrotto-style quick release plate allows you to mount your camera rig or gimbal.
Touchscreen OLED Display
The built-in touchscreen status display provides onboard control of damping tension, battery level, payload level, and wireless signal status.
