Canon 2612A001 reviews

Drop-In Filter Holder for 52mm is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It comes with It makes a lot more sense to me to use a glass rather than a gel filter in a $4000US lens. But I wish that I known that the 52mm filter holder COMES with a Canon Protect 52mm filter. I assumed that it was just a holder and that I'd have to buy a filter as well. That's what I did, I bought a B&W high end 52mm UV filter and although I'm using it I wonder if it was a waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accessory Good product. Quality made. I don't know why Canon didn't include this with their 300mm f/2.8 lens. They also should have made provisional space for storing it in the lens carry case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed... I bought a 500mm used and it came with a polarizer but the drop in wasn't included so I had to purchase this. It comes with a clear filter so you don't have to purchase that as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for your long canon telephoto If you have already invested so much in a lens that is compatible with this drop-in filter, you obviously care about image quality. That being said, filters are a must. So get this, get a nice filter set, and you have a wonderful alternative to bulky and expensive matte box rigs - and you'll have full iris control even on really sunny days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for When I bought my 500 mm f4 used (it's the older Mark I), it came with what might have been a polarizer drop-in filter. I needed something that wouldn't darken my images and this fit the bill. I couldn't find it at Canon's website and customer service gave me a link to B&H for the wrong filter holder. Luckily, I found the right one and have been using it since. The price was right and shipping was fast. Plus, it doesn't affect image quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good drop-in filter for Canon 500mm lens This 52 mm screw-in filter works well for Canon 500mm lenses. My Series 1 500mm lense came with a gelatin filter. This filter holder with a screw in glass filter can be cleaned better than the gelatin filter, and you can use other 52 mm glass filters with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive filters for the big lenses Makes it very easy to use filters in the big lenses. Works in my 300 f2.8 II and 500 f4 II as well as the older versions.
