Along with typical compression controls like Attack, Release, and Threshold, you get a tilt EQ for simple one-knob filtering of the wet signal, a 0 to 30 dB make-up gain control, and separate side-chain high-pass (20 Hz to 1 kHz) and low-pass filter (100 Hz to 20 kHz) controls, useful for shaping and filtering trigger signals without affecting your dry tone. The Press sports stereo 1/4" TRS input and output with selectable input level (Hi-Z or line), along with with 3.5mm TRS side-chain input and Thru output. An LED meter displays the amount of gain reduction (-1 to -30 dB) and can be read in any lighting environment. And with a durable and stylish compact aluminum body, the Press is designed to meet the most demanding needs of modern professional musicians.
This allows for precise control of the frequency of the sound that is used to trigger the side-chain for the gain-reduction circuit. Use the LPF to filter out the high end of a bass guitar or the HPF to remove the boom from a kick drum to sculpt your sound in unique ways.
