The Snap Grip does help you hold your phone. I found the grip, which is just hard plastic, to be a little slippery so I added some adhesive grip material. It is heavier than anticipated so carrying it around in a pocket may become uncomfortable. It also doubles as a battery backup for your phone which is helpful.
