LAKE PEOPLE MC50 Overview

Take control of your studio monitors and headphones with the Lake People MC50 a professional monitor controller with a a pair of slave outputs, two loudspeaker outputs, and a built-in headphone amplifier with X-Feed functionality

The MC50 offers significantly more than conventional monitor controllers and includes a complete set of stereo signal manipulation options including Solo L/R, Channel Swap, Phase Reverse, Mono, Mute function, and a pair of calibrated VU meters for monitoring the outputs. Coming in a 1 RU size format, this high-quality volume controller is as low in noise and distortion as physics allows.

Flexible I/O
The MC50 provides flexible inputs and outputs for both loudspeakers and headphones. On the rear panel, a pair of slave XLR outputs, two pairs of XLR inputs for various sources, and two pairs of XLR outputs feed to your favorite loudspeakers.
Volume & Mode Operations
Controlling inputs stages is extremely versatile with the MC50. Along with a control for input switching, the stereo signal can be altered with three toggle switches consisting of left and right solo, mono, and polarity inversion. The 25mm solid aluminum volume knob is a high-quality Alps RK27 potentiometer with 41-dented positions for precise monitoring.
Advanced Headphone Monitoring
The built-in headphone amp was meticulously designed to provide quality and clarity. Internally, two G111 amps supply balanced headphones plenty of headroom due to its four power stages. Connections on the front panel consist of two standard 1/4" outputs and a 4-pin XLR female output for both standard and balanced headphones.

A pre-gain controls overall volume, ranging from -18 to +12 dB in steps of 6 dB increments. A unique feature on the MC50 is the X-Feed control, which simulates the natural listening experience of speakers in a room by blending a small amount of the left and right channels. A dedicated potentiometer and toggle switch can control the overall amount and state of the X-Feed.

Output Section
Two toggle switches allow you to switch between the headphone or line output paths either separately or equally at the same time. Meanwhile, a global mute toggle can be activated to allow no signal to the output stages. Each of the three toggle switches contain LEDs for showing their active states.
Illuminated VU Meters
The illuminated VU meters show the level of the input stages, and can be calibrated from 0 to +20 dBu with dip switches on the rear panel.
