Pelican Aegis 32 – Broken After Only Two Trips

I purchased the Pelican Aegis 32 at B&H expecting the same durability and reliability that have made the Pelican name so respected among photographers and travelers. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. This suitcase failed after only its second use. During this trip, it was checked on flights operated by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and later LATAM. I didn't notice any obvious damage when I collected my luggage at the airport, as I was focused on continuing my trip. It wasn't until several days later, after returning home and preparing to store the suitcase, that I discovered significant structural damage. The attached photos clearly show the extent of the failure. My luggage was carrying photography equipment and personal belongings within the airline's weight limits and was used under normal travel conditions. A premium suitcase at this price point should withstand routine airline baggage handling without sustaining structural damage after only two trips. One of the reasons I chose Pelican was its reputation for building products that can survive harsh environments. Based on my experience, the Aegis 32 did not meet those expectations. I hope Pelican will stand behind its product and provide an appropriate solution. However, when I visited the company's warranty website, I could not find any option to submit a warranty claim for the Aegis 32 or for this specific luggage line. This made an already disappointing experience even more frustrating. Until this issue is properly addressed, I cannot recommend this suitcase to travelers looking for dependable checked luggage.

Great looking piece but don't expect it to stay looking good

I got this for a great price but after using it twice ive noticed it will not age well. It's prone to any dirt and will suffer as checked airplane luggage. Otherwise it's a very nice piece of luggage. Just don't fly with it...

The Pelican AEGIS 28" Check-In Rolling Hybrid Duffel (Black) is too large as a carry-on. The general exterior carry-on size is 22x14x9 inches. The best thing to do is to contact your airline, as they might have a different size they prefer.
