Easily mounted on its integrated bracket, the panel powers an included 5200mAh battery, which in turn powers the camera. The camera's own rechargeable battery doesn't even need to be installed for the solar panel to operate the camera, although TACTACAM recommends having it in place. If you use AA batteries in the camera, they will act as a backup if the solar panel is unable to provide power. The solar panel will not attempt to charge AAs.
The panel comes with an AC adapter and a cable for the initial charging of the solar panel's battery.
