DE555 Advanced De-Esser from McDSP provides transparent and precise de-essing. Featuring intelligent signal analysis allows the DE555 to perform its de-essing at any signal level without requiring manual input. The HF (high-frequency only) mode allows you to reduce the signal level of ess sounds without affecting the rest of the original dialog. Real-time display of de-essing amount and key filter response enables quick and easy setup.
This is the HD version of the plug-in, which supports AAX Native, AAX DSP, AU, and VST3, on compatible DAWs, McDSP HD plug-ins also support the VENUE S6L systems for live audio. This plug-in runs on Windows or Mac systems, Apple silicon as well as the latest Intel processors.

More aggressive de-essing settings for background vocals allow the lead vocal to stand out more, as the lead vocalist articulation comes out, while the background vocals remain, well, in the background
Shift
When using DE555 HF-only, (high-frequency-only), the frequency-shift control will move around the HF only processing as much as one octave below or above the selected key frequency. Very useful for attenuating different frequencies other than the original key frequency
Smooth Guitar Tone
Fret squeaks produced by the guitar player can be reduced using a de-esser. The same tips apply when de-essing a vocal or a dialog track—too much can sound unnatural, so use it lightly
