Use this Universal Fast Tie-Down Adapter from Teris to adjust your fluid head for balancing and quick release. It secures your tripod head onto Teris tripod legs using the 3/8"-16/M10 compatible mounting screw on your head. Two quick release buttons on the sides allow you to quickly remove the tie-down for fast rig changes.

Although this may work great with some tripods, both of the red release levers are impossible to access once the item is in place. Usually one is barely accessible, but the other ends up behind one of the tripod legs. I tried using this with my Sachlter Flowtech 75 legs, and an older Sachtler tripod, and both of them have this issue. NOTE: What's annoying is that one of their demo videos shows this being used with the Sachtler Flowtech legs, so they must have been well aware of the problem. Again, this unit may work great with other tripod legs, IF you can get your fingers to the red release levers. I guess you would have to try it to find out. Another issue that I had to sort out was that straight out of the box the tie-down would not engage with the threads of the video head mounting bolt. They were shipped in the "open" position. I found that an abrupt hit to the unit gets them to close, as if there is a spring inside. The item comes with no instructions, so I have no idea if this is normal. Maybe my unit is damaged, but I had to do this procedure every time I chose to use the unit. This makes me wonder if the unit might accidentally let go of the video head bolt.
I was birthday gifted two of these by a fellow crew friend and they are fantastic. So much faster to remove / put on a fluid head. Very innovative and useful accessory that works on all my various fluid heads.
