A Handy Network Device

The Unifi UDB is a handy device for when you need to extend a network and only AC is available. I keep one on the shelf in case I need it. You do have to have WiFI mesh enabled. I recommend this device.

Works well. Perfect for UniFi 5G Max.

The Ubiquiti Device Bridge (UDB) delivered as expected allowing me to connect my new UniFi 5G Max cellular backup modem in an area of my home where I could not run ethernet cable. Ultimately, I think I want the Outdoor variant to improve signal, but I also can be sure that will come to fruition until I can get ahold of and test one of the Outdoor models. Typically, I'll get around 200M down and 25M up, which should be more than enough to keep IOT and VoIP devices running during the brief outages that we've experienced with Spectrum. Having 100GB of data available with Google Fi at $0 also made this purchase a no brainer.

My network consists of a Synology AP and I have a 2nd Netgear AP. Can I use this to bridge a wired device to my network?

The Ubiquiti Networks Device Bridge would not have any connection to your wireless access points. You would need to connect it to your router.
