TP-Link BE550 Pro Overview

Multi-link operation support allows you to simultaneously send and receive data across different frequency bands for increased throughput and reliability. A 10G WAN connection allows you to take full advantage of multi-Gig internet services while helping to future proof your network. Four 2.5G Ethernet LAN ports are also available for access to compatible high-speed network devices such as computers and NAS systems. WPA3 encryption, TP-Link HomeShield features, and VPN access help to protect your network and its devices against online threats. Wi-Fi 7 Performance

By supporting the 320 MHz channels on the 6 GHz band with 4K-QAM, the Archer BE550 Pro delivers double the bandwidth and packs in 20% more data than Wi-Fi 6.

Multi-Link Operation

Instead of limiting data transmission to one band, Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows you to simultaneously connect to devices with multiple bands for high throughput, reduced latency, and improved reliability.

Flexible Port Connections

I've had this router for awhile now and I really love the extended range that I get with it. I've had issues with my Xfinity wifi router\modem reaching my sunroom and with this unit, I am able to now get excellent service in that room along with outside in my back yard. If I ever have to get another router, I'd again look at TP-Link

Budget Friendly Wifi 7 Router

I have done a lot of research on which Wi-Fi 7 router is best for home Wi-Fi, and this is it. My internet provider is spectrum and plan is 500mbps. To my surprise, it works really well transferring internet data to other devices consistently; we use over 15 devices that requires a lot of intense usage like gaming and streaming. The setup was an easy process on the app, and it has all the bells and whistles like the 6ghz, 5ghz, 2.5ghz Wi-Fi 7 capabilities. Furthermore, it has the VPN option where you can add it to your preferred devices. another great thing about it; you are welcome to use any mesh Wi-Fi setups; it does not have to be the same brand mesh Wi-Fi system which is awesome on my book. Now, let's go to the negatives... there is a possibility where it can overheat. My father came home from work and smell something burning in my room; it was the router. My recommendations are buying the router cooler for your tp-link just in case. Another negative, the advance parent controls and homesheild features is tide to yearly or monthly subscription, but the pricing is reasonable. Yearly subscription is $18 and if you choose monthly, then you will be paying $3. Lastly, the router suddenly gave my ps5 lag latency when I was playing tekken 8 for a moment; it only happened once, and it has not occurred ever since. In conclusion, this Wi-Fi 7 router gives you everything you want in a router. It is budget friendly, pack with features, customizable, easy to use and reliable. I would of gave it a 5-star if it did not have those negatives, I mention, so it is staying on 4-star rating for me; excellent.

Hi Michael, The Archer BE550 Pro supports IPTV/VLAN, which is designed to carry IPTV traffic (video streams). It isolates IPTV multicast/broadcast traffic from other services to ensure smooth video delivery. Please note that regular VLAN (not supported by the Archer BE550 Pro) is used for general network segmentation, such as separating departments, devices, or services for security and efficiency.

What is the best device to extend the range of the BE550 Pro for larger homes or small businesses?

Hi Greg, The ideal device to extend the range of your Archer BE550 Pro would be another Archer BE550 Pro using EasyMesh. However, other EasyMesh-compatible TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 routers and Range Extenders could also work, depending on your needs.
