I imagine that the original profile target was larger which would make it easier to fill the frame with standard or wider angle lenses. I was able to employ a workaround by using an in-camera crop for my 50mm lens. Moving closer was not an option since the camera/lens would now be blocking the lights a bit. But that was the only (relatively minor) issue. It was very easy to set up and use along with Sekonic's software to calibrate my system.
