JBL MA7100HP Reviews
JBL MA7100HP Firmware vs Rel 2134 requires a fix.

The JBL MA7100HP is an excellent stereo amplifier and feature rich. The sound qualities are great but the receiver periodically attempts to install a software update even though it is at the latest version (NET Release v2134, Nov 6, 2025) as of this writing.
Died in 6 months

Unit died after 6 months of light use. Stuck in update mode which appears to try and run nightly and never completes with no way to cancel or disable. Support will not send a USB update file and wants it sent to a service center at my expense.
The unit does look really nice and sounded great when it was working. The front display is nice in concept but poor implementation. It would only sync over eARC to my LG tv about 50% of the time at power up. No sync problems with the old Yamaha receiver or Integra receivers. Tried multiple certified cables.
Pretty much an expensive boat anchor now. Lesson learned.
