Sporting eight channels of transparent, musical, and transformerless mic preamplification, the Grace Design m108 is a versatile 1 RU mic preamp, audio interface, and A/D / D/A converter. Featuring eight XLR mic inputs, two Hi-Z instrument inputs, and copious digital and networking I/O, the m108 excels in the studio and on the stage.
With simple push-button operation, you can easily navigate the internal control interface, mix, and control vital functions like phantom power, phase, channel grouping, and more. Along with a stereo headphone output and Hi-Z and mic inputs, you also get DB25 connectors for analog output and digital AES3 output, optical ADAT connections, BNC wordclock, USB-B, 9-pin MIDI, connections for remote and local control including serial RS 485/422 ports, Ethernet port with web server for network control using standard web browser, and an Expansion slot for an optional Audinate/Dante network audio card. This version of the m108 also includes a Dante interface card for digital audio networking.
Latest generation s-Lock PLL ensures pristine, jitter-free sample clocking from an external wordclock or Dante clock. An asynchronous mode USB interface provides the best possible jitter performance when connected to a computer.
The control application allows for the creation of channel groups, and saving and recalling presets. The application runs under Windows (7, 8.1, and 10) and Mac OS (10.11). For control of the m108 via Android or iOS, use the m108 web interface.
This makes control of any m108 on an IP LAN as simple as entering the m108’s IP address into the browser’s navigation window—the web browser control from that preamp will automatically load and connect.
