OWC OWCTB5HUB5P Reviews
Great Purchase
I was looking at a number of Thunderbolt hubs- many of them much more expensive. After a month of ownership- I’m very glad i purchased. The size is not too big, the number of ports matched my need, and the build quality seems solid.
I'll never buy another OWC product again.
I purchased this Thunderbolt Hub directly from OWC (MacSales.com) but they have no review function on their site. After a few months of ownership, one of the ports on the hub stopped reading an SSD. I tried the same SSD and cable directly into a Mac Studio TB port and it worked fine. Sent the hub back for an RMA, but they claim they couldn't replicate the error, so began their feeble attempt to send the hub back to me. I was never given email confirmation of the package being sent at all. When asked it's status, they lied about sending it back to my house because it was later admitted they sent it to a local UPS store, but my UPS account showed nothing addressed to me. The many times I tried to explain that I didn't receive the hub resulted in two different CS agents essentially them walking back any responsibility, an unwillingness to own up to their obfuscation, and ultimately a denial to address the issue. I'll never buy another OWC product again.
