I had high hopes... but the QOS has left a lot to be desired

I bought the Blizzard Lightcaster CRMX GOAT IP Outdoor 2.4GHz Wireless Transceiver with RDM Support (two of them to be exact) to be used as receivers and a Blizzard Lightcaster CRMX GOAT 2.4GHz Wireless Transceiver with RDM Support to be used as a transmitter in my small lighting setup. They were received in quick time in true B&H style. However, then is when everything went down hill. Upon setup in my living room to test I was only able to connect the Blizzard Lightcaster CRMX GOAT to one of the Blizzard Lightcaster CRMX GOAT IP Outdoor units. The other IP unit was just blinking on the TX/RX led. Then I observed there were no leds where the double row of 5 led indicators should be. I disconnected the unit and shook it and realized there was a rattling sound as if something loose was inside. So I assumed that the led indicator had somehow broken off, gotten dislodged or was not inserted properly and become lose in shipping. I contacted B&H and got a tech to assist in troubleshooting to see what was the problem, and if he could fix it. He was unsuccessful and as I needed these units for an event on the weekend my option was to purchase another IP unit and have it shipped out while they process a RMA for the faulty unit. The new unit arrived the next day (B&H sent it overnight - nice!). Got it connected to test and as my luck would be for the the new unit it came with indicator leds installed but just barely with not lights working. Unfortunately, I was really wanting to use these units as their spec sheet had some features that I was looking for (frequency hopping technology and long range) but having a 50% score on working units out of the gate was too much of a miss for me to ignore. I had to return all 4. Buy at your own risk.
