Processor intensive workflows have met their match with the Z8 G5 Tower Workstation from HP, which offers more CPU performance in a classic dual socket design, which helps accelerate rendering with real-time ray tracing, data visualization, and model training, plus plenty of room to expand as demands change. The system is powered by two 2.0 GHz Intel Xeon Silver 4514Y processors with 30MB of cache memory, which will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously and provide significant performance gains when running multi-threaded tasks. If more power is needed, the CPUs can deliver extra performance by increasing the clock speed up to 3.4 GHz utilizing Intel's Turbo Boost technology. The 64GB of 4800 MHz DDR5 ECC Registered RAM comes in a 4 x 16GB configuration and may be upgraded to 1TB.
For storage of your files, this system is equipped with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD with an M.2 2280 form factor. If you want to add external storage drives, optical drives, printers, memory card readers, or other peripherals, the Z8 G5 features ten 5 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports (four front and six rear), one of which doubles as a charging port. For users who wish to add additional components to the drive bays, the Z8 G5 features two PCIe 4.0 x8 slots, each of which can fit two M.2 2280 SSDs, four internal 3.5" drive bays, two external 5.25" drive bays, and a 9.5mm slim optical bay. The dedicated NVIDIA RTX A1000 graphics card has 8GB of GDDR6 RAM and delivers a sharp, clear picture, while allowing for multiple simultaneous displays to be used via its four Mini DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 @ 30 Hz. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the integrated Realtek ALC 3205-CG audio controller outputs high-definition audio and delivers higher fidelity than standard audio controllers. Network connectivity is achieved using dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports.
The Z8 G5 Tower Workstation includes a USB keyboard, a USB mouse, and a power cord. The installed operating system is Windows 11 Pro for Workstations (64-bit), which scales up for machines with a high number of logical processors and large amounts of RAM for server-grade hardware and power users.
