Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Fazioli F212 Grand Piano (Full Library)
Italian Inspiration
Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Fazioli F212 Grand Piano (Full Library) is a virtual piano with a library that captures the sound of a Fazioli F212 classic, medium-sized grand precisely sampled using a robot finger, on the smaller, dryer Stage B of Synchron Stage Vienna. In this intimate setting, with more direct piano signals and less room sound, every nuance of Fazioli's medium-sized concert grand shines, from the powerful bass, to the warm midrange, to the crisp upper registers.

Engineers employed eight separate phase-coherent microphone configurations (including three close microphones), recorded simultaneously with every nuanced detail, providing a broad range of options for creating your individual sound. Using the included Synchron Piano Player, all mic configurations can be mixed to create stereo, 5.1 surround, or 9.1 Auro-3D mixes, each with different levels of ambience and stereo panorama, from close and focused, to wide and roomy. This 39.3GB Full Library comprises more than 210,760 samples.

Note: Software requires an iLok Account and iLok License Manager for license activation on a physical iLok 2 / iLok 3 key or in an iLok Cloud Session (iLok Cloud requires a constant internet connection).

Character Presets

  • The Synchron Pianos player interface offers instant and direct access to preconfigured Character Presets including Concert, Intimate, Player, Pop, Ambience, Vintage, and more.

Preset Category

  • FX Presets: More drastic, experimental and fun settings.
Sampling Precision
  • To capture the sound of the instrument with all its subtleties, VSL's engineers deployed a highly precise motion control system based on a solenoid that controls a noise-free robot finger.

Vienna Symphonic Library Bösendorfer 280VC Full Library Piano Virtual Instrument (Download)

The Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Bösendorfer 280VC Full Library is a virtual instrument that puts the clear and colorful sound of a modern Bösendorfer 280VC Vienna Concert at your fingertips. The 280VC merges the company's venerated and traditional approach to piano manufacturing with the most recent, sophisticated engineering, resulting in an instrument that's reimagined from scratch, while remaining true to Bösendorfer's legendary foundations.

Compared to the Bösendorfer Imperial with its additional bass strings, wider soundboard, and more orchestral sonic character, the sound of the 280VC is very present with clear differentiation between the bass, tenor, and treble sections. Its huge dynamic range provides the necessary sensitivity for supportive accompaniment of singers and solo instrumentalists in chamber music settings, as well as the power needed to hold its own against a large orchestra in a full-size concert hall. The 280VC is a true all-rounder that boasts the qualities of all Bösendorfer concert grands including its diversity of sonic colors and that certain warmth inherent to fine Viennese instruments.

The Synchron Bösendorfer 280VC Full Library was meticulously sampled on Stage B of Synchron Stage Vienna, a live room offering a beautifully controlled acoustic environment with less ambience than the large main hall. The instrument utilizes 142,632 samples recorded with seven different microphone combinations (including surround), affording an abundance of options for creating your individual sound.

The included Vienna Synchron Pianos software offers multiple options for shaping your sound and your playing experience. Six preconfigured character presets are provided for different types of music ranging from concert to pop. The 21 specially designed FX presets offer an easy way to achieve more drastic changes to the sound of your Bösendorfer 280VC and transform it for pop and electronica applications.

The software is compatible with Mac and Windows. It runs as standalone software or operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats.

Note:
Software requires a ViennaKey USB protection device or other USB eLicenser if one is not already on the system (available separately).
Advanced Release Sample Technology
The company's proprietary Release Sample Technology allows the included Synchron Pianos player to automatically match hundreds of individual and finely stepped release samples per key to your played notes in real time.
The result is a hyper-realistic playing feel and 100% timbral authenticity.
Sampling Precision
  • To capture the Bösendorfer 280VC with all its subtleties, engineers further refined the company's precise motion-control system based on a solenoid that controls a noise-free robot finger. The micro-controller moves the finger with super-human precision, providing flexible curvatures for down-strokes and release movements, the latter corresponding with the preceding note length and various release speeds.

Vintage Sound of a C. Bechstein Upright Piano Built in 1904
  • The C. Bechstein upright's very smooth action allows the finest gradations from pianissimo to fortissimo. In the main playing range its sound is more reminiscent of a small concert grand than of an upright piano.
  • With its clear and accurate tonal development this upright conveys the intimate atmosphere of a small concert hall. The instrument's midrange is very pronounced and focused, while its ageless character clearly asserts itself in all registers.
Advanced Release Sample Technology

Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Blüthner 1895 Full Library Grand Piano Virtual Instrument (Download)

The Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Blüthner 1895 Full Library is a virtual instrument that captures the sound and expressiveness of a refurbished 6' 4" (193 cm) grand piano with proprietary Aliquot stringing. The piano was built in 1895 by the famous Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik of Leipzig and acquired by Synchron Stage Vienna after having been lovingly restored by master piano builder Bernhard Balas from Vienna.

The 98.6GB Synchron Blüthner 1895 Full Library was meticulously sampled on Stage B of Synchron Stage Vienna, Austria. The instrument utilizes up to 124,464 samples recorded with 8 different microphone combinations (including surround) to capture the natural ambience of this recording space. Six preconfigured character presets are provided for different types of music ranging from concert to pop. Thanks to the included Synchron Pianos Software, you can tailor the piano's responses and timbre to your individual needs.

The Aliquot system uses additional dampened strings positioned above the conventional strings of the treble register. This fourth set of strings is not struck by the hammers but resonates sympathetically to enhance the overtones, providing a velvety, organic shimmer and giving the instrument a particularly lyrical singing quality called the Golden Tone.

This virtual recreation is extremely versatile and well suited for soloists looking for a slightly different, personal piano sound. The Blüthner lends itself well to song accompaniments and chamber music settings, as well as pop songs and ballads where other concert grands sound too large and obtrusive.

Composers such as Debussy, Brahms, Mahler, Bartok, Liszt, Tchaikowsky, Shostakowitch and Rachmaninov created their works on a Blüthner grand. Famously, Paul McCartney played a Blüthner concert grand when recording Let It Be for the film of the same title in 1969.

The software is compatible with Mac and Windows, and operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats.

Note:
Software requires a ViennaKey USB protection device or other USB eLicenser, if one is not already on the system (available separately).
