After connecting this to the Sony A7S III and ...

After connecting this to the Sony A7S III and selecting 24-bit two channel mode in camera I recorded several clips. However, after importing the clips into FCPX on my 2019 MacBook Pro, I realized that none of the clips had audio. Even in Sony’s own Catalyst Browse software, no audio can be played back, but in this instance white noise is all that is heard. Audio plays back fine in camera; Switch to 16-bit and audio can play back as normal in all software. So it seems 24-bit audio is not supported. Are there plans to address this? Btw... Sony makes no mention of 24-bit audio in the A7S III manual, even though the option appears in the cameras menu.
Asked by: Derek
Based on the manual, this camera has the ability to record in 24 bit only if using accessories that support 24 bit audio through the Multi-Interface shoe. If connecting the receiver of this system to the camera via the 3.5mm jack, then the camera can only record in 16 bit audio. Please note that while there is an available MI Shoe adapter for the URX-P40 receiver in this wireless system, the A7SIII is not specified as supporting it for use.

Can you use 2 units on 2 cameras side by side, with same freq range?
Asked by: Christian
Yes, it is possible to use two Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone Systems that operate on the same frequency band at the same time within 330 feet of each other. Only one transmitter can be used at a time with each receiver. When you are setting up the wireless systems and pairing the transmitters and receivers, each system will automatically pair to a different frequency within the same frequency band.

Is this compatible with newer Canon hot shoe for mounting receiver directly to camera for digital audio transfer?
Asked by: Samuel
No, the Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver included with the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is not compatible for digital connection to a Canon camera. It will only work in that manner with certain Sony cameras equipped with Sony's Multi Interface shoe. The URX-P40 receiver will connect to the microphone input on the Canon camera using a cable.

is there something on the device that would make it introduce hiss into the transmission? I recently bought one. Tested it with 2 identical senheiser boom mics requiring 48v phantom. One sounds great, the other has a major hiss. Tried it on several other mics (57s/58s) and nothing. The "bad" mic works 100% when wired.
Asked by: Tony
1. Make sure to scan for the best frequencies to use before every session. 2. Try lowering the gain
