Xvive Audio XV1-R Overview

Capture clear 32-bit float audio with ease using the XV1-R Portable Stereo Recorder from Xvive, a smart choice for musicians, filmmakers, podcasters, and content creators looking for a powerful yet intuitive audio solution at an attractive price. Designed for convenience and professional-grade performance, it's equipped with a built-in stereo microphone array along with user-friendly menus and factory settings that make getting started simple and painless. Whether you're recording high-fidelity audio or syncing sound to video, the XV1-R offers comprehensive features paired with tailored onboard presets; so you can spend less time worrying about settings and more time being creative.
Advanced Features Made Simple
Once powered on, hit the record button once to navigate to the record screen, then press the record button a second time to start recording. The XV1-R captures 32-bit float audio, letting you adjust recordings later without sacrificing quality. With built-in gain control, you can set the perfect levels upfront for optimal sound, giving you both precision and flexibility.

The high-contrast OLED screen ensures easy navigation through the XV1-R’s intuitive interface, even in low-light settings.

Advanced features like overdubbing let you layer sounds, adding more depth to your recordings. Other key tools include Auto Record, Auto Level, prerecording, and even variable speed playback, giving you flexibility in capturing and reviewing every moment.

The XV1-R offers built-in audio effects like a low-cut filter to clean up low-frequency rumble, a gate to reduce background noise, a compressor to even out your recordings, and a limiter to prevent clipping.

The built-in X/Y microphones capture stereo audio up to 130 dB SPL, helping to ensure clear and distortion-free sound, even in high-volume environments. And with a 3.5mm mic/line input, you can connect external microphones or line-level sources for added flexibility.

Flexible and Powerful
Choose from multiple recording profiles designed for specific recording needs: from high-quality lossless 32-bit float WAV for music production, efficient AAC for meetings or lectures, mono AAC for minimum file size voice memos, or high-quality AAC with optimized settings for concerts. Each profile adjusts formats, channels, and effects to suit different types of recording environments.

Listen to your recordings through the built-in speaker for quick reference, or use headphones for full-quality playback. You can output audio to a camera for seamless video integration. A slate tone generator is even provided for calibration and synchronization.

The XV1-R features variable speed playback for practicing and note taking, along with file markers and playback position skipping.

When connected to a computer via USB, the XV1-R also functions as a stereo in / stereo out audio device, allowing you to record directly into your favorite digital audio workstation with professional-grade sound quality.

With microSD card support up to 128GB, and a 32GB card included, you’re ready for long recording sessions immediately. Power the XV1-R with two AA batteries for up to 12 hours of recording or through the USB-C port for extended use.

Xvive Audio XV1-R Reviews

Completely useless

I bought it with thought to replace my Zoom H1n (max 16Gb microSD card and no 32bit, sometimes it is really useful). Unfortunately it can't even record audio properly. First impression was: WOW! A big informative screen, 32 and 24bit recordings that I can switch. Because of my previous bad experience with Zoom H1essential. Then I inserted the memory card and pressed the REC button. Recording could be stopped only by STOP button, not REC... I thought Well, I can live with it. After that I run recording to listen and heard some echo and interference. I covered mics with my fingers and interference gone (still there less noticeable). Next was connecting mics to Line IN port... Long story short - Deity D3Pro don't work - terrible noise and mic don't recognise connection, regular Lav mic don't work at all, some cheap plug-in mics as well - nothing.
