Saramonic Ultra Reviews

Incompatible with FX6 MI Shoe

I bought this mic and was told it was compatible with the Sony FX6 MI shoe using the Sarmonic MI shoe adapter. Sadly I can say this does not work with the FX6. A warning message displays on the FX6 screen confirming it cannot work with the Sony MI shoe. This does work with the lower end Alpha cameras like the A7S III which I have tested.

Great Sounding Mics & Awesome Features!

I was needing a new set of Lav Mics for weddings and interviews so I picked up the Saramonic Ultra because of its features! Pros: -32bit Float Recording -Timecode Sync -Noise Cancelation -App Control -300m Range Many times as a lone videographer, I can't be working the audio recording as well and sometimes my audio comes out bad. With the 32bit float recording im able to set it and forget it. The mics have a 130 dB SPL rating which allows for louder environments without distortion. This comes in handy when there's lots of external noise I love that they're white so I can use them on white wedding dresses when micing the bride and groom The sound is crisp and clear. I havent had any issues with cutting in or out. The charging case makes it all better so I know that they are always ready to go.

Does this device have timecode in as well as timecode out?
Asked by: David
No, you can't use the Ultra as a "slave" to another timecode master, but you can use it as a master unit for other timecode devices like the Deity TC-1 and Tentacle Sync. The Saramonic can output the code to these devices, as well as audio recorders and cameras.
