Brinno BCC5000 - Beautiful 4k imagery

I started working with a pair of Brinno BCC5000 time-lapse camera construction bundles to record a large-scale renovation project for a client last summer. We bought both cameras at B&H, where they had just recently become available, even the staff were unaware that this new 4K time-lapse camera was being sold online by B&H. Using the two cameras over the three-month project gave me a lot of insight into the capabilities of the cameras. I have made many time-lapse videos for clients over the years and was always disappointed that after such a long effort the resulting video looked like blurry security camera footage. The TLC5000, which is the camera part of the BCC5000 construction bundle provides a beautiful 4k video image. The aperture adjusts well going from day to night and has many settings including night mode, frame rate, timer and interval settings. The construction bundle includes a weather-proof housing box with room for three extra batteries and a sturdy mounting arm which can be locked for security. After loading the rig with four batteries (1 in the camera + 3 in the housing box) and a 256 gigabyte SD card, I never came close to running out of battery life or card space. My client has been very happy with the renovation video that was produced using these two cameras. Since then, I have been using the cameras to produce brief, short-term subjects like traffic and clouds around Manhattan and the results are stunning. I now have four cameras and they are all connected to my home wi-fi where I can log onto the Brinno site, register the cameras, and set features like the shooting interval, day/night mode and see statistics like battery life, SD card usage, flicker filter, time stamp and update firmware. You can also see a live view from the camera from the website, but only while the camera is not recording. After I had a small problem with a firmware update, which was quickly resolved by the Brinno tech team, I have stayed in touch with them and offered some practical suggestions from the field. They have said that they are working on a smartphone app to control the cameras remotely which will open up many more features and uses for the cameras. I have been using between 2-4 Brinno time-lapse cameras for the last eight months continuously including extensive use of the weatherproof power housing, which have been outside in rain and snow and the gear stays dry and always yields a clear image. I can honestly say the BCC5000s have produced some incredible results.

Camera Recording Malfunctions After 2 Months

After 2 Months Of Successful Recording, My BCC5000 No Longer Records. It Immediately Stops After I Initiate Via The Physical Start Stop, Over Wifi Or Bluetooth. I Have Dug Through The Manual, Tried Multiple Resets, New Memory Cards, Different Batteries And External Power, Software Updates, And Brinno's Very Vague Advice, All To No Avail. I Have Found Others Who Encountered The Exact Issue As Mine, And Received The Same Lack Of Support Or Resolution From Brinno. I Could Not Advice Anyone Buys This Camera Package, Given The Lack Of Support And Resolution For This Issue.
