The Z 48 from Neumann is an all-metal shockmount designed to fit all variants of the U 67, U 87, U 77, and M 269 microphones. Sporting a swivel mount for easy positioning, a vintage-style clamping action, and exchangeable elastic suspension, this shockmount effectively absorbs vibrations for clean, noise-free recordings. The Z 48 includes a threaded adapter for 1/2 and 3/8" studs.
Elastic Suspension Shockmount
Elastic suspensions provide efficient protection against structure-borne noise and mechanical shocks. The microphone is set into the inner cage from above, and secured to the inner cage with a threaded nut. It has a swivel mount with a 5/8"-27 female thread that can be fastened to tripods. The shockmount also includes a threaded adapter to connect to 1/2 and 3/8" studs.
