BirdDog X1 Ultra PTZ Camera with 12x Zoom (White)

Capture UHD 4K30 resolution video and keep your subjects in frame with AI auto framing using this white X1 Ultra PTZ Camera with 12x Zoom from BirdDog. Boasting a powerful 12x zoom as well as color matrix, API, and Kelvin control, the versatile X1 Ultra offers exceptional low-light performance and support for Wi-Fi 5 and NDI|HX3.

Physical connectivity options include an HDMI output and a USB/UVC output with independent resolution for direct connection to Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and more. A built-in halo tally and a 2.93" E-Ink display augment the camera's broad functionality features, and PoE (Power over Ethernet) support allows you to power the camera using a single Ethernet cable and facilitating quick and easy setup with limited cable clutter.

Using this camera for a remote video production. Shooting at 4K 30fps. Great quality, sensor is decent and superior to competition at this price range. We tested it against other options and the video quality is superior. Remote production made easy, great interface, company keeps upgrading software which makes it straightforward to overcome challenges. Size of this camera surprised me, a bit larger than I expected. This is not a toy, it's a real camera.

Yes, the onboard tally light of the BirdDog X1 Ultra PTZ Camera with 12x Zoom (Black) can be disabled in the web UI under the AV Setup tab.

Can you record onto an SD Card? Or do you have to record the HDMI output on a separate device?

The BirdDog 3 x X1 Ultra PTZ Cameras & KBD PTZ Controller Bundle includes three PTZ cameras that do not support internal SD card recording. However, you can record their NDI output by connecting them to a computer. Another option is to use a device like the ATEM ISO, which can record up to 8 cameras via HDMI or SDI, with files ready for editing in DaVinci Resolve. If you prefer a wireless setup, you can use software such as OBS Studio or NDI Studio Monitor with the NDI plugin to capture and record the video feed directly to your computer over Wi-Fi.
