CineTreak Stream 1 Overview

Professional broadcast and content creators can enhance their productions with intuitive multicamera switching using the STREAM 1 Video Switcher from CineTreak. The versatile, all-in-one live streaming switcher supports up to five sources via four four HDMI input ports and one HDMI AUX input. Boasting powerful recording and playback capabilities, the STREAM 1 offers downstreaming capabilities that allow for additional content to be handled from an online streaming code and an SD card.

The switcher records high bit rate Full HD, H.264 files for regular and instantaneous playback, making it ideal for various applications in professional live production. Built-in PTZ camera control provides connectivity for up to four cameras using the VISCA protocol, and landscape and portrait modes allow for quick switching between 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios.

Picture-in-Picture and Picture-over-Picture (PiP/PoP) functionality is customizable and facilitates integration with luma and chroma-keying applications for virtual studio environments. The unit can simultaneously stream to two different RTMP destinations, while wireless IP control makes it possible to control the switcher from a computer, smartphone, or iPad. A 12V, 2A power adapter and a USB-A 3.0 cable are included.

Downstream/Upstream Support and IP Control
Downstream and upstream functionality allows the use of web video sources like YouTube, Netflix, and Twitch, making the switcher a convenient multimedia platform across regions and distances.
Customized PoP and Dual PiP for Viewing Flexibility
Augmented with customized PoP (Picture-over-Picture) and dual PiP (Picture-in-Picture), the switcher allows you to customize the size and position of each screen, as well as zoom and free cropping to meet a wide range of application requirements across various scenarios.
Powerful DSK Functionality for Rich Visual Effects
Luma- and chroma-keying provide flexibility for subtitle and logo overlays, real-time subtitle display, and rich visual effects to enhance the viewer's experience.
External USB and SD Card Recording
The SD card slot and USB-A interface allow the direct recording of the program (PGM) output with support for up to 32 Mb/s encoding in MJPEG file format.
RTMP Streaming to Two Destinations
A USB-A port for UVC connectivity allows the switcher to operate in webcam mode, sending video and audio to a computer for live broadcasts to a variety of platforms, including OBS, vMix, Teams, Twitch, YouTube, Skype, VLC, and more. The integrated stream engine enables live streaming to two destinations simultaneously via an Ethernet connection without needing to connect to a computer.

This is the best budget HDMI switcher right now...

This is my first switcher. I really like it. Originally I was not considering it because it didn't support webcam as an input. But a recent FW update changed that, and now I can say that I can successfully use my Logitech Brio or DJI Osmo Pocket 3 as a webcam, and select it as an input source, just like HDMI cameras. I like that it can do horizontal or vertical(even though I will probably never use it). I like that it has PTZ controls (even though I will probably never use it). The menu system is pretty easy to use. I almost chose the CineLive C2 instead, but at TWICE the price! For a little 3.5 screen? NO WAY! So, I just got this--and bought a 14 1080p portable monitor for $60, and now I have a switcher with a MUCH bigger display, at a MUCH cheaper cost. Just as portable too (the monitor came with a protective sleeve/stand), if I ever need that.

I was looking for an affordable switcher that also met my needs when I came across the Stream 1. It arrived very fast thanks to B&H's awesome service. Once I opened it you could tell right away that it was solidly built. Getting it setup and learning how to use it was a breeze. Some of the features i look forward to taking advantage of are its support of vertical video as well as the PTZ camera control. Overall very happy with my purchase.
