Works great. But I wish the base offered the same degrees of travel arc (as the model without the pedal) before being stopped by the side of the cup. I mount my gimbal on the monopod to simulate smooth slider movement. Due to this restriction, I have lost substantial range of motion. You can judge from comparison photos that the monopod in the base without the pedal has several more feet of range of motion when extended. It's nice to have a way to return to center without reaching down to lock it in place. However, the jury is out on loss of motion...
