MSI B840 GAMING PLUS WiFi Overview

Lay the foundation of your next gaming rig with the MSI B840 GAMING PLUS WIFI AM5 ATX Motherboard from MSI. Featuring a premium design with support for Wi-Fi 7, this motherboard delivers a comprehensive and versatile experience for gamers looking to optimize their setup.

Supporting the AMD AM5 socket and B840 chipset, you can install an AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, or 9000 series processor and customize the performance to fit your needs. Up to 256GB of dual-channel 8000 MHz DDR5 memory may be installed in overclocked mode across four slots to deliver smooth multitasking. A PCIe 4.0 x16 expansion slot allows you to install powerful graphics cards and still have access to additional PCIe 3.0 x1 and x4 card slots. In addition to four SATA III drives, you can install lightning-fast SSDs into the M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 slots. The rear panel includes extensive connectivity, including 10 Gb/s USB-C and USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two 5 Gb/s USB-A ports, as well as four USB 2.0 connectors. Integrated Wi-Fi 7 (802.11b) support and a 2.5G Ethernet port let you connect to compatible high-speed networks. Windows 11 64-bit is required to take advantage of all the motherboard's features.

Kick load times to the curb. In addition to supporting four 6 Gb/s SATA III drives, the M.2 PCIe 4.0 slot can deliver up to 64 Gb/s transfer speeds with compatible NVMe SSDs. Installed SATA and M.2 drives may be put in RAID 0, 1, or 10 modes.
