Hello. can this be used on a DSLR camera? or is it just for small cameras?
Yes, of course. I have about six tripods and the Obens are a favorite (I own both the regular and the long (L) versions of this carbon tripod). As with ANY tripod, be sure to not attach a heavy, long lens to your camera unless you take precautions because the extended weight can tip a tripod over. The Arca-Swiss plate makes attaching your camera much easier. Never let the tripod assume the weight of your camera/lens until you're sure it won't tip. A tripod weight bag/hammock can help (search B&H) or you could use an anchor like an "Orange Screw" (orangescrew.com) - I don't think B&H sells them, but I wish they would.

Without the legs extended, it's 8.5" between the legs. With the legs fully extended, it's 19" between the legs. This is my backpacking tripod for my Sony a6500 with the 16-70 f/4 lens with an L-bracket. Also, I've used it to get close for table top macro shots.
