I bought these in part because I saw an artist ("influencer") showing off a similar pair in a music video (I think it might've been Ava Max, but I'm not certain), but when I tried them (and this pair might not've been the same 'version' of the product in the video) the sound quality just was NOT GOOD compared to other Apple branded headphones (and don't forget, beats are just 'yet another Apple product using different branding for whatever reason). I have recenltly been exposed to the 'concept' that branding terminology MAY MATTER "legally" - beceause they can say "you know what you bought" and if you think about it "beats" sound like you are getting "beat up" - frankly, no, I'm not throwing them away, i'm keeping them. I may eventually reverse engineer them, I'm starting to explore microelectronics (it is like high school biology students disecting a worm - this is the electrical engineering equivalent)

Can the “hearing aide” software be installed on these like the AirPods Pro2 so they may function as hearing aids?

The Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats Pro 2 Wireless Noise-Canceling Earbuds (Quick Sand) are only compatible with the Live Listen feature within Apple Hearing Assistance. They are not compatible with the Conversation Boost feature, Headphone Accommodations feature, or Made for iPhone (MFi) feature within Apple Hearing Assistance. For compatibility with these features, it is recommended that you use the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) or the Apple AirPods Max.
