Class-A Circuitry with Mid/Side Architecture
At its core, the xmax uses a proprietary analog signal path that encodes the stereo signal into Mid and Side components for independent processing. The Mid channel is further divided into Low and Mid frequency bands, allowing for three dedicated compression paths. After processing, the signal is decoded back to stereo, followed by analog sweetening via a high-shelf filter, soft clipper, and output gain stage.
Flexible Compression with Smart Controls
The xmax features an intuitive Smart Global Release control to unify the behavior of all compression bands quickly. A VariLink function allows bands to be linked or controlled independently, offering tailored compression for each mix.
