Prior to purchasing, I was concerned that the image quality on this APO lens would be too sharp, too contrasty. Not so. The image quality is unbelievably gorgeous, beautiful bokeh, sharp from corner to corner. It has a solid all-metal build, compact size and weighs in at 340g, 2.5" in length. While it's not the lightest VM lens in the arsenal, it's really not unduly heavy either balancing quite nicely on the Leica M EV1. I could literally shoot with this lens all day long.

This is another outstanding product from Voigtlander. I purchased the lens for use on my Leica Sl2S. I build quality is outstanding. The focusing is smooth and the aperture ring is precise. Using lens wide open at f2 provides nice sharpness and beautiful vignetting. As you stop down to f4 the lens vignetting subsides and sharpness doesn’t let up. 90mm may be a portrait focal length for many but when used for distant landscapes the details render sharp and full of contrast. The overall color rendering is perfect on the Leica no color cast or flare noted. The two Voigtlander lens I own like to have a soft glow around street lights I have noted. I use a .5 Bloom filter on my Fuji to get that effect but no need for such a filter with the Voigtlander lens. BH photo had the lens on my doorstep in two days, signature required. Beautifully packaged and zero issues with the package contents. They are always my first stop for my camera gear, second to none.
