Benro GD36PT Reviews
Not for architecture
I have been really wanting an upgrade over my Benro 3 way geared head without spending $1500. This seemed like a nice choice. Unfortunately due to the design, the pan function is at the top which means that a simple 90 degree pan results in your controls being swapped out of order. The tilt dial is also in an awkward position to maneuver conveniently. I found that it was very difficult to align properly from shot to shot. It may be for someone but if you need to be ably to fine tune your angles this may not be for you. I have returned the item.
Much Better Head, Especially For Micro Adjustments.
As The Title States, I Love Head Over My Ball Head. Before I'd Loosen The Ball Enough To Make An Adjustment, But When It Was Just A Small Adjustment Needed, I'd Always Accidentally Over Adjust, Which Would Lead To Lots Of Fiddling Before I Got The Placement I Want. So Far With This Geared Three-way Head, I Can Get Approximately Where I Want My Placement, And Then Turn The Knobs To Fine Tune. Works Fantastic For Table Top/micro Photos.
