Expensive card, as expected. 2TB is worth it though. Get the full recording abilities and never have issues.
Room for improvement

We are owner/operators based in Phoenix.
We have 4 of these 1TB Codex cards for our Mini LF. Had issues early on with the camera not recognizing the media when mounted. No reason or pattern, just once in awhile it would just disappear. Occasionally you would get recording errors as well and would need to change cards to continue with your day. Arri updated firmware which eliminated most of the problems (Sup 7.0), but occasionally we will still get a glitch and the card says there is a problem and wants to be re-formatted. Yikes! Thankfully, we've yet to loose 1 piece of data so that's a good thing. They get SUPER hot when recording - just FYI when you pull them out of the camera they almost burn your fingertips.
Ok, now 15 months into owning these cards (minus the downtime of Covid +/- 4 months (1 year warranty)) one of them is not recognized by the camera or computer at all. Completely dead. After 2 months of waiting for an update to service (sent back to Codex via Arri) we're pretty much faced with a $1000 dollar/6 week repair or a $200 off a replacement card. Amazing eh? This level of camera should not have this bad of service. At least an offer for a loaner card would have been nice, but no.
Price on the cards is what it is. It's not like you have any other option right? If you want to use the LF, your gonna have to take the plunge.
We also own RED products and have had amazing success with the RED SSD Mags since the DSMC1 days all the way to today- DSMC2. Wish Codex could get this small but massively important piece of equipment dialed in. Having this many issues in this short of time makes me nervous, hence the 3 star review.

Are these compatible with the older Alexa SXT? Or the Alexa LF? Do they make an adapter?
Asked by: Brenton
The adapter cannot be used in the camera (neither SXT or LF) but only in the SXR readers, in which they have give you the fastest download possible. And it's a way to leverage use of Codex Vault2 and/or Capture + Transfer Dock which has built in SXR reader
