Core SWX Helix Max 147Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery (V-Mount)

This V-mount Helix Max 147Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery from Core SWX expands upon the features of the Hypercore NEO series by adding simultaneous, 14 and 28V dual-voltage capabilities for a complete onboard system with high-voltage performance. A nearly lossless transmission and a maximum load of 20A at 16.8V or 10A at 33.6V makes this battery ideal for powering more demanding equipment builds in cine and broadcast applications.

The Helix Max draws minimal current at its maximum voltage, creating less heat and extending the runtime and longevity of the battery. A D-Tap aux output and USB output can power other accessories from monitors to mobile devices. Integrated into the battery's design is an LCD screen to monitor the runtime and total battery percentage. Adding the separately available Helix hot-swap plate can double the available battery capacity and runtimes. The V-mount battery supports SMBus camera and charger communication.

Charge your V-mount batteries while traveling with the GPM-X2S Mini Dual Travel Battery Charger from Core SWX. Taking advantage of the same technology built into the larger fleet chargers, this compact travel charger can charge a single battery at a 3A rate or two batteries simultaneously at 1.5A. Since it sits vertically with two batteries mounted, the GPM-X2S takes up less space than traditional chargers.

If you have an Alexa 35, this is one of the best way to go about it. You can charge them on any gold mount chargers, and when you put this on the regular plate, it can act as 24v batteries. It fits in any gold mount battery plates (not like Anton Bauer one). I wish it was little smaller but 24v comes with the heavy burden.

The Core SWX Helix Max 147Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery (B-Mount) offers 28V. The B-Mount standard requires a 24V minimum but can allow for higher voltages, such as 26V or 28V.

Can we use regular gold mount charger to charge the dual voltage batteries or do I need the specific dual voltage charger?
Asked by: Yuki
According to Core SWX, "Along with standard powering applications, Helix charges on all standard v-mount and gold mount Lithium-Ion equipment, including Anton/Bauer, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into your current fleet of battery packs." As such the Core SWX Helix Max 147Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery (Gold Mount), would be supported by standard chargers.
