Game changer!
Makes the grip on the camera feel ergonomically perfect. Heavy lenses like the Noctilux 50 and 75 or the Summilux SL 50mm can be confidently gripped with one hand. I loved using a thumb grip on the M cameras and was delighted to see that Match Technical made one for the SL series where it makes even more of a difference. Price seems a little high but it makes such a difference I have purchased it twice for my SL2 and SL2-S and am now very satisfied with the new SL3 compatible model. It’s made of solid brass to very high quality specifications and over the years it gets a patina like Leica black paint lenses and cameras. As you can probably tell by now I can’t recommend this accessory enough.

Thumb grips are the under appreciated necessities of photography. I understand why camera manufacturers chintz on this essential ergonomic. So, decide for yourself whether it's worth it. To me, it's essential, especially with a brick like either of the SL3 cameras.
