ZyXEL USG FLEX 50AX Overview

Protect the network and connections of your small businesses and branches by adding an extra layer of security via ZyXEL's USG FLEX 50AX Wireless Firewall. This wireless firewall offers adequate protection in the form of a single cloud management platform and an integrated security solution that strengthens the VPN connections across your selected areas.

Built into this unit are four LAN/DMZ RJ45 ports and one WAN RJ45 port that operate at a maximum of 1000 Mb/s. A single USB-A 3.0 port is also built into the front of this unit, so you can upgrade the firmware or add temporary storage via compatible device. Wi-Fi 6 allows the USG FLEX 50AX to have a data transfer rate of 1200 Mb/s. ZyXEL has designed this wireless firewall to be a part of the Nebula cloud management family, so users have access to an easy management service and streamlined configuration and updates. VPN connection types such as IKEv2 and IPsec are provided to offer secure remote connections and zero-touch deployment. All Nebula devices, including this firewall, can be managed through the cloud using an intuitive interface that can be viewed on a single screen, making this firewall not only easy to set up and use but also reliable and secure.

Design Philosophy
The USG FLEX 50/50AX is designed specifically for the needs of small business and branch locations, delivering enterprise-class security. Advanced networking and security features like Web Filtering, Security Profile Sync, and SecuReporter improve security by blocking access to malicious or risky websites, along with controlled access with integrated firewall policy for highly granular blocking and filtering, creating a unified security solution for both wired and wireless networks.
VPN Security
The USG FLEX 50/50AX provides comprehensive VPN connection types including IKEv2 & IPsec VPN. All offer customers secure remote connections. An IPsec VPN hardware engine provides high-efficiency VPN tunnels, while VPN load balance/failover with IKEv2 ensures strong VPN reliability and security for your business.
Centralized Provisioning from Nebula
With Zero-Touch deployment and simplified centralized management, installation and operation are no longer a hassle. After being registered to a network, the USG FLEX 50/50AX will automatically be discovered when it's connected, then the preconfigured settings are automatically applied. The USG FLEX 50/50AX helps customers to comply with regulations by offering log archiving service without the need for additional hardware and software installation.

From access points to switches, security gateways, and firewalls, all Nebula devices are managed through the cloud using an intuitive interface that allows you to configure, manage, and troubleshoot all distributed networks from one single screen without the complexity of remote site access.
Comprehensive Content Filtering Service
USG FLEX 50/50AX delivers enhanced content filtering functionality and security through its powerful combination of both reputation and category-based filtering. The dynamic content categorization analyzes the content of a previously unknown website and domain, then determines if it belongs to an undesirable category.
Deep Insight into All Your Devices
Device Insight gives you more visibility of your networks including wired, wireless, BYOD, and IoT devices. Enabling it allows you to identify devices with distinct security segments down to an individual level. Device insights also detect vulnerabilities that are associated with those devices. It helps SMB(s) to reduce the number of human hours spent on investigation.
Analytics Report and Enhanced Insights
USG FLEX 50/50AX dashboard gives user-friendly traffic summary and threat visual statistics. By utilizing the SecuReporter utility, you can check for further threat analysis with correlation feature design, making it easy to proactively trackback network status to prevent the next threat event. Additionally, centralized visibility of network activities means you can easily manage multiple clients.
