The system's wireless technology allows the Stellar Mics to operate at distances up to 65' from the Space Recorder. If a mic goes out of range, it automatically begins recording audio to its built-in memory for up to 45 minutes. The audio is then automatically transferred to the recorder when the mic is back in transmission range.
360-degree video production is made easy as the Space Recorder tracks the position of each Stellar Mic and stores that data in the recording. Engaging the spatial option then takes the most used position of each lav mic and places it in that position. Alternatively, you can download an ADM file with real-time positioning data for complete control over the 7.1.2 mix and processing on individual tracks.
Multichannel enhancements help eliminate phase problems and artifacts when two mics or more mics are used at the same time, providing clear speech and dialog. Advanced users looking to manually mix and process the recordings can easily import the raw files directly into a DAW via USB, where the surround recording is available in Ambisonics B format for complete control over a 7.1.2 mix.
