This matte box is not bad but beware that the hood will not clear 15mm rods if they protrude past the front of the hood. The hood easily clears 19mm rods.

I got this matte box so I could have drop in filter trays, which my other one doesn't. I am very happy with this product- it's comparable to competitors that are double, or much more, in price. With three trays, one can run the VND in one, an I.R. ND in another (so as to minimize colour shift) , and a mist filter in the third. My only gripe is there are no side flags included, which seems like an omission, because this kit comes with a case Filled with useful stuff other manufacturers would charge on top for. All said- great quality, highly recommended!

The Tilta Mirage Pro Matte Box VND Kit is only designed to work with 4 x 5.65-inch filter trays. 4x4 filters are not supported.
