GoPro MAX 360 Overview
GoPro MAX 360 Reviews
Can't Beat the Price
I know that all the cool kids are hating on GoPro for various reasons. Yeah, it does seem like the CEO may have lost his way. I also know that Insta360 has passed GoPro in many ways. So, I am not saying this thing blows the doors off other 360 cameras. However, I have 2 Hero 7s that I used and still use for shooting. One of my hero 7s got involved in a tumble while attached to my RC Nitro Short Course Truck. I was shocked that the camera survived as the truck was wide open doing close to 50mph and didn't land the jump as expected. So, I know that these cameras will take a beating. I wanted a 360 camera to play with and I am pulling for the brand. So, I pulled the trigger and bought one. The camera functions well. It does get hot like people say. However, I have had this camera on a gravel ride in 90+ degree heat with minimal humidity and the camera never died on me. I did this in 360 video, warp, and also using individual cameras to find the limits. Mostly, I just wanted to see what the camera would do and wanted to play with hiding the selfie sticks, mounts, and see figure out the best way to mount the camera to something. It works really well provided that the selfie stick or mount is narrower than the camera body. It is nice because you can get a drone like shot. The 360 video is cool. I love how you can get the camera to follow the subject in post. The nice thing about the 360 is if you shoot by yourself you can always get the shot provided you have the camera running and it is close. I love how you can mount the camera on a tripod or GoPro mounts. So FINALLY I don't have to buy an adapter. If they could keep this camera at the $250 price point they would really have something to take back the market share as they continue to innovate.
GoPro MAX 360
I bought the GoPro MAX 360 for a couple of reasons. I think 360 images can be very creative if you’re creative. I love the new microphones because they really make videos Atmos like when you listen with headphones. I’m hoping that down the road GoPro upgrades the image sensors for higher resolution. For now it has given me all sorts of creative ideas to pursue.
