Polaroid Flip Overview

Powerful & Easy to Use Instant Camera
Inspired by the past but with a modern design, the Flip Instant Camera from Polaroid is ideal for capturing your favorite moments. It introduces a hyperfocal four-lens system for sharp images, a powerful flash lighting your subject from up to nearly 15' away, and scene analysis for balanced exposure. Connect to the Polaroid app via Bluetooth to adjust settings and trigger the shutter from your phone. The intuitive LED screen provides important details including battery life, film count, mode, and flash. The vintage flip design protects the lens when the camera is not in use.
Capture Double Exposures
Combine two exposures in one photo by double tapping the MODE button and selecting Double Exposure mode. After tapping, an LED icon will light up and the film counter will blink "1" to indicate it's ready for you to capture the first exposure. After you take the first picture, it will blink "2" to signal it's ready for you to take the second exposure.
Scene Analysis
To ensure your images are properly exposed and in-focus, the Flip camera is equipped with a feature called scene analysis, which observes what's in your frame after the shutter button is half pressed and alerts you of any correctable issues via its LED display.
Self-Timer
Activate self-timer mode to ensure nobody's left out of the photo. Just tap the MODE button once, frame your shot, and press the shutter button. You'll have 12 seconds to pose before the photo is taken. To cancel the shot, press the shutter button once more.
Additional Camera Benefits
  • Built-in tripod mount so you can set up camera and control it from your phone or use the self-timer
  • Sonar autofocus keeps your subject in focus, even in dark shooting conditions
  • Recharges via USB-C for wide compatibility
  • Compatible with Polaroid i-Type and 600 film for classic, full-size photos

Polaroid Flip Reviews

Not for everyone, probably not even most.

Disappointed with the performance of this camera, and it's MUCH more intolerant to lighting conditions than old school Polaroid from decades ago. I couldn't get any consistent result, even in excellent sunny conditions my photos are a mess and blue tinted like crazy. Just utterly unpredictable and not in a charming way. I went back to Instax square and wide. I'm sure this kind of "let's see how it comes out" works for some, it doesn't work for me.

My jump back into Polaroid

I've absolutely loved this camera! I got it before going on a roadtrip and have really enjoyed it so far. The autofocus, different lenses, and controls make it so easy to use, while supporting both iType and 600 film?! The iType I found gave off too much of a magenta hue to be a little too cheesey looking photos that looked like they were trying so hard to be artsy, but good ole 600 is amazing. Having great contrast and versatility, I've enjoyed being so much more intentional about each of the 8 shots that come in a pack and captured some amazing photos!
