Creamsource Vortex4 Overview

The Vortex4 Soft is specifically designed for those requiring a soft LED source that blends performance and efficiency with its 325W output. With an open-face 110° beam, this soft version produces up to 9770 lux at 3.3' while keeping the RRGBBW (red, deep red, green, blue, royal blue, white) LED configuration of the Vortex4 hard panel. Users still get full hue/saturation control, 0 to 100% dimming control, and a CRI/TLCI of 95. The Vortex4 series enables a standard wide CCT range of 2200 to 15,000K with four independently controllable zones. Here, Creamsource supplies the essential accessories. The light is delivered with a yoke, a flat diffuser, and a power cable.

Bright Soft Lighting
Vortex4 Soft is a 325W high-power RRGBBW LED all-in-one lighting system in a compact 15 x 15 x 4.8" configuration. Achieve a very bright yet soft output with up to 9770 lux at 3.3' with an open face 110° beam angle.
Advanced Technology
The Vortex Connect feature includes built-in LumenRadio CRMX TimoTwo, Ethernet with sACN, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5-pin DMX, USB-A, and a Creamsource accessory port, enabling a wide range of control possibilities and future protocol support. Additionally, effects, color gels, and the latest FrameSync technology are built into the latest CreamOS architecture. Rigging points have been built into the fixture to accommodate rapid rigging of a large array of units, and the Vortex4 Soft is IP65 water-resistant and sealed for security and efficiency.
High-Speed Capability & Synchronization
The 5000 fps functionality enables flicker-free operation in high-speed modes. Another particularity is a sync input for triggering and syncing to the camera shutter.
IP65 Weather Resistant
The Vortex4 Soft is built and designed to withstand all weather conditions and is rated IP65 for rain, snow, or dust protection. The Vortex4 Soft is an ultraquiet fan-based system with optimum thermal efficiency. The fan system and heatsink placement allow core electronics to be sealed and isolated.
Connectivity
Interaction between Vortex4 Soft and various third-party instruments and protocols is endless, opening various wired and wireless control options. Vortex Connect connectivity options include built-in LumenRadio CRMX TimoTwo, Ethernet, Bluetooth, 5-pin DMX, Wi-Fi, USB-A, and a Creamsource accessory port.
Browser-Based Control
The CreamOS V3.0 has a multilingual web interface that allows you to configure and manage multiple Vortex fixtures from any browser.
Design
Made of durable aluminum and technopolymer, the Vortex4 Soft features a removable quick release yoke, eight 3/8"-16 rigging points, and an integrated power supply. It also includes a dedicated 48 VDC input for battery-powered operation.

I just got my Vortex4 today. I was very impressed by the booth presentation at Cine Gear Expro 23 in Brooklyn. This thing creates such a beautiful light. It's hard to explain to a non-filmmaker what constitutes a beautiful light, but THIS IS IT. It's almost beyond explanation. It's kinda like... light streaks that shine through tall majestic trees from those beautiful forests we read about as children. I'm enamored by this light. It's Hollywood!

What is the most compact battery solution for this fixture?

You can also use the Aputure 2-Bay Battery Power Station. You will have to get the one end of the Head cable from Aputure unit modified to the Vortex. Watch the test on YouTube from Gaffer & Gear. That is what he is using.
