Designed for small-to-mid-sized project studios, the Barefoot Sound MicroStack45 combines a pair of active, 3-way monitor speakers with a pair of MicroSub45 dual 8" subwoofers to create a package more compact, lighter, and more cost-conscious, but shares the same amplifier, driver tech, and DSP as Barefoot's flagship system. A sturdy, nonslip tilt feature directs the MicroMain45 monitors at the listening sweet spot.
Designed for small-to-midsize project studios, the Barefoot Sound MicroMain45 is an active, 3-way monitor speaker that features the same signal path, amplifier, and driver technologies as the flagship MiniMain12. The speaker includes MEME technology, which emulates different speaker sets, allowing you to remove your secondary and tertiary monitor, freeing up space, cabling, and power.
The 610W power amplifier delivers 250W to the 8" woofer, 180W to the dual 2.5" midrange, and 180W to the ring radiator tweeter, which combines to deliver a 40 Hz to 45 kHz frequency range at 113 dB SPL. A power cord, MEME switchbox, 6-way splitter, and three 3.5mm TRS cables are included.

However, it’s also a fact that crowding your console with those extra boxes degrades the sound field of the primary reference monitors. Not to mention, these speakers are no longer manufactured, need amplifiers, require cable runs, and consume more studio space. MEME offers an elegant solution by emulating the sound and translation characteristics of those other classic monitors.
MEME Vocies:
Flat
- Optimal setting for accuracy, transparency, and outstanding translation. Setting has a flat frequency response and an extremely fast transient response. This is the default voice, when the MEME Selector Switch is not connected to the speaker.
Hi-Fi
- While it does not emulate any one speaker in particular, this setting is indicative of hi-fi in the colloquial sense of the term. The midrange is a bit scooped and highs are a little accentuated. The bass response is altered to have less damping, yielding a hybrid character somewhere between the fast, tight, articulate sound of a sealed cabinet and the slower, fatter sound of a ported speaker. The result is a sweeter, more forgiving sonic character.
Old School
- This setting emulates the frequency, phase, and transient response of the NS10M.
Cube
- This setting emulates the frequency, phase, and transient response of classic mix cubes.

The MicroMain45 is the only 3-way reference monitor in the product line that does not include Dual-Force technology. The addition of MicroSub45 subwoofers offers current MicroMain45 users and prospective owners an upgrade path. The built-in analog high-pass filter crossover from the MicroMain45 is at 80 Hz, adding increased headroom to your entire system.
