TP-Link RE653BE Overview

Eliminate dead spots from your home by plugging the TP-Link RE653BE BE10000 Wireless Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender into an available wall outlet. Compatible with most routers, this Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) compatible extender supports up to 10.2 Gb/s transfers over the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands with compatible devices - delivering smooth 8K video streaming and low latency gaming experiences.

You can pair the RE653BE with your router with a press of their respective WPS buttons. Otherwise, you can use the TP-Link Tether app or browser-based dashboard. You can use the 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet port to connect wired devices such as computers and NAS systems. With EasyMesh compatibility, this range extender can operate with the same network ID (SSID) as your router to provide seamless roaming as you move from room to room.

Lightning Fast Wi-Fi
With four powerful external antennas, this tri-band range extender supports a total throughput of up to 10.2 Gb/s. Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology helps to optimize the connections to lower latency and improve throughput.
6 GHz Band
By taking advantage of the 320 MHz channels, the less-congested 6 GHz band provides fast, reliable connections to compatible devices.
Flexible Wired Connectivity
Use the 2.5G Ethernet port to connect computers and other wired devices to your network. You can also use the RE653BE in access point mode by connecting it directly to your router.
Control at Your Fingertips
Set up and manage your Wi-Fi devices, including TP-Link routers and range extenders, from your Android or iOS phone with the TP-Link Tether app.

Doesn't extend IoT network, drops network

I was mostly getting this to help my many IoT devices, which live on a separate IoT network. But this extender doesn't extend the IoT network! Some of my other devices also started to disappear from the network occasionally when they were connected to this extender. I'm now looking into using another Archer base station as an extender and hope that will work better. But this dedicated extender was not working for me at all.
