Sonnet 2024 Reviews
Poor power button mechanism
First off, I think Sonnet products are some great solutions to some manufacturer's oversights to the fact that their products might not be only used sitting on some corporate desk. I own many Rack Mac series- Trash can Pros, older Mac mini, Thunderbolt PCIe expansion, etc. The power button mechanism solution they came up with, at first seems "Sus", but it does end up just working, somehow, probably with a few sacrificial offerings and unicorn tears, but it does work. This RackMac mini 2024+, while a GREAT solution for a GREAT little Mac that suffers from continual physical challenges for every day usage; I will never understand the power button location, never. What is so hard about putting it on the front panel, Apple? Anyway, for whatever reason, my Rackmac does NOT activate the power button in 2 of the 3 slots, depending on which computer is installed. Literally another mm of height on the lever would hit the button. Sent it back to Sonnet and OF COURSE they "didn't find anything wrong with it." Classic. I probably won't buy another one of these, and will look to other brand's solutions.
